Shallow Well Cementation
In June 2003, the Quebec government adopted new regulations for capping water wells. These regulations impose the capping of shallow wells and artesian flowing well.
A new cementation process was created to meet this new requirement. After much research and many prototypes, we have created a new tool capable of cementing shallow well sheets as outlined in the regulations.
Of course, it doesn't end there. A drilling report has to be completed. You can consult annexe 1 (a.20) found on page 15 of the regulations to view an example of the report. It must be completed in triplicate : one copy for the Ministère, one for the municipality and one for yourself.
Here are the tasks we perform :
- cementation of the first meter from the surface;
- cementation of the joints of each sheet and the suction pipe hole;
- geographical coordinates (GPS) of the wells;
- well pumping tests and performance data of the pump flow;
- picture of the well;
- submit drilling reports to the proper authorities.
